Why stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations?

COVID-19 vaccines are available to eligible people in Australia, with recommendations based on age, risk factors and time since your last dose of infection. 


You may be recommended to receive a COVID-19 vaccine or booster if you are:

  • Aged 65 years and over
  • Aged 18-64 years with medical conditions that increase risk of severe illness
  • Aged 18-64 years without risk factors but due for a booster
  • Pregnant or planning pregnancy
  • A healthcare or aged care worker
  • Someone who has not had a recent COVID-19 dose or infection


Additional or booster doses may be recommended for people at higher risk, particularly older adults and those with underlying health conditions.
