At Toowoomba Day & Night Pharmacy, our pharmacists provide shingles consultation services for eligible patients in line with current Queensland practice guidelines and protocols.

Consultations may include assessment of symptoms and discussion of suitable management options where appropriate.

Shingles Consultations

Shingles is caused by reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus associated with chickenpox. The rash and blister fluid may present an infection risk to people who have not previously had chickenpox or who may be at increased risk of complications.

If you believe you may have shingles, please contact Toowoomba Day & Night Pharmacy prior to attending the pharmacy so our team can provide guidance on the most appropriate next steps and appointment arrangements where required.
