Skin Infection, Impetigo and Minor Wound Consultations


Some skin infections, including impetigo, may spread through close contact with affected skin or contaminated items such as towels, clothing or bedding.


If you believe you or your child may have impetigo or another contagious skin condition, please contact the pharmacy prior to attending in person so our team can provide guidance on the most appropriate next steps and appointment arrangements where required.


Children with suspected or confirmed impetigo may need to remain away from school, childcare or group activities in line with current health recommendations. Return-to-school guidance may vary depending on treatment, symptom improvement and advice from a healthcare professional.
